The CoreNet Global Hackathon: A Student Competition

June 16, 2016

Academic Challenge

The 2nd CoreNet Global Academic Challenge, sponsored by Cushman & Wakefield, asks university students to think seriously about how organizations can attract, retain, and motivate the next generation of students by applying the lessons they learned through their own student experiences.

Competing in teams of 3 to 5 students each on the floor of the Innovation Pavilion at the North American Global Summit in Philadelphia, hackathon style, students will be charged with the creation of an enterprise solution relevant to the company's business sector (finance, high-technology, insurance, and manufacturing) that: Maximizes the productive and creative ability of its human capital; Increases the success rate for hiring top talent; Reduces employee turnover; and earns the company "employer of choice" status. The winning team will receive $5,000 USD, and their home university will receive $5,000 USD to support corporate real estate education.

We are currently recruiting student teams to fill the 4 slots available for competition. All teams will have their travel, lodging, and Summit registration expenses covered by CoreNet Global.
