Created by Google, this workshop teaches participants to develop the confidence to promote themselves in the workplace and personal life, thereby breaking modesty norms and glass ceilings. It will (1) Improve the motivation and self-promotion skills of underrepresented groups, (2) Change social perceptions, and refresh the conversation around self-promotion. This is an intense and powerful experience.

Bio: Elba is a finance and strategy professional with 20+ years of experience at UPS. She’s held roles in Finance, Investor Relations, Marketing, and Strategy. Most recently, she has joined the Sustainability team as Director of Stakeholder Engagement. In this role she devises and executes strategies to influence value creation for all UPS Stakeholders including employees, customers, communities, suppliers, and investors through a lens of environmental care, social responsibility, and governing ethically – ESG.

Elba was the Chair of the UPS Hispanic Business Resource Group, Crecer. During her leadership, Crecer was recognized as the #1 Hispanic Employee Resource Group by the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Latina Style Magazine. Elba has published several UPS thought leadership blogs. Read them here. Elba has been a presenter on Atlanta’s Supply Chain Now programming.

Elba is also the founder of the 501(c)(3) social impact organization ShowMe50.org, which she started to accelerate the adoption of talent management transparency and bias controls. The non-profit’s vision is to achieve 50% women in senior leadership positions across America by influencing change in workplace cultures and talent management practices through high-impact action kits. ShowMe50 is a Global Lean In Regional Leader, partnering with Sheryl Sandberg and Lean In to help women advance their careers and break down barriers women face at work
