Diversity & Inclusion Certificate Program

CoreNet Global is committed to doing all we can, using our collective power, to eliminate discrimination and promote equality in the workplace. Discrimination in any form – including due to race, skin color, national origin, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or age – must be erased in the places we live and work.

CoreNet Global serves professionals from 50 countries around the world and recognizes the important role we can and should play in bringing a diverse and inclusive focus to all endeavors. We view this as a business imperative.

We believe in building an open community both within our association and within the many corporations in which our members are employed. We will do our part to identify conscious and unconscious bias and inequality – and work to define a role the built environment can play in fostering a diverse and inclusive culture.

To this end, we are pleased to launch our new Diversity & Inclusion Certificate program.

What to Expect

The certificate program covers a broad range of diversity and inclusion topics through a series of seven webinars offered live on dates noted below OR later via recordings. To earn the certificate, participants must complete six of the seven webinars. The sessions are also available a la carte without a requirement to earn a certificate. Additional webinars will be added to the Diversity and Inclusion library over time and will also count toward earning the six-session certificate.

Pricing

The full program with access to all 7 sessions is available for a bundled price: $199 for members; $449 for non-members. These sessions are also available a la carte: 3 sessions are offered at no charge*, 4 sessions (indicated with a $) are available for $59 each for members; $129 each for non-members. Nita Mosby Tyler, PhD, She/Her
Chief Catalyst and Founder, The Equity Project LLC

Dr. Nita Mosby Tyler is the Chief Catalyst and Founder of The Equity Project, LLC – an organization designed to support organizations and communities in building diversity, equity and inclusion strategies. She is the former Senior Vice President and Chief Inclusion Officer for Children’s Hospital Colorado – the first African American woman to hold that position in the organizations 100+ year history. Dr. Mosby Tyler, a consultant accredited by the Georgetown University National Center for Cultural Competence, is nationally recognized for her equity work with non-profit, community, government and corporate organizations.

Elba Pareja-Gallagher, She/Her
Founder and CEO, ShowMe50.org | Director of Finance, UPS

Elba is a finance and strategy professional with 20+ years of experience at UPS. Elba was the Chair of the UPS Hispanic Business Resource Group, Crecer. During her leadership, Crecer was recognized as the #1 Hispanic Employee Resource Group by the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Latina Style Magazine. Elba has published several thought leadership blogs for UPS Longitudes including most recently on Women and COVID, Keeping Women Visible: A New Reality, May 2020.

Elba is an APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional and led the Gender Gap Task Force for the Atlanta chapter. Elba is also the founder of the 501(c)(3) social impact organization ShowMe50.org, which she started out of frustration over the lack of women leaders and the slow adoption of talent management transparency and bias controls. The non-profit’s vision is to achieve 50% women in senior leadership positions across America by influencing change in workplace cultures and talent management practices through high-impact action kits. ShowMe50 is a Global Lean In Regional Leader, partnering with Sheryl Sandberg and Lean In to help women advance their careers and break down barriers women face at work.

In September 2019, Elba was named one of the 50 Most Influential Latinos in Georgia by the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Elba serves on the board of The Women’s Collective, an initiative of Collier’s International to promote and enhance women leaders.

Beck Bailey, He/Him
Director, Workplace Equality Program, at the Human Rights Campaign Foundation

Beck Baley's work in the HRC Foundation’s Workplace Equality Program focuses on helping America’s workplaces become more LGBTQ inclusive through employee engagement, training and education. He also conducts outreach to engage corporations in supporting legislative action to create workplace protections for LGBTQ people.

As a lifelong business professional prior to joining HRC, Beck brings his knowledge and experience as a manager and a leader to this work. From frontline management of a food production line at Stouffer’s frozen foods to operations and retail management of the iconic LGBTQ merchandise company Don’t Panic! Designs, Beck possesses a well-developed managerial skillset grounded in operations and change management.

An LGBTQ advocate and out transgender man, Beck often speaks about his personal experience as a way to increase awareness and understanding. He proudly serves on the Board of Directors for Gay & Lesbian Advocates and Defenders (GLAD). Beck holds a BS in Management from Virginia Tech and an MBA from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst.




We recognize that real change will require dedicated leadership from the business community. CoreNet Global members are employed by some of the biggest companies in the world, and therefore, the association has enormous potential to promote human-centric workplaces where differences are celebrated, discrimination is eradicated, and diversity is a given. Place matters. Inclusive places matter even more.
