India Conference, Bengaluru | 20 June 2018 | ITC Gardenia
Opening General Session with R. Chandrashekhar | 20 June | 9:40 - 10:40
DIGITAL ECONOMY, JOBS AND CORPORATE REAL ESTATE
The advent of the Digital economy has profound implications for every business and, indeed, every aspect of human activity. The Digital economy in India could reach 1 trillion USD by 2025. But this is not just about growth; it is growth accompanied by dramatic shifts. New jobs are getting created, some old jobs are getting eliminated and a large proportion of jobs are undergoing major changes. The nature of skills needed-the talents, attitudes and habits of employees-are changing rapidly. Jobless growth, lack of skills and telecommuting are in the air.
India is changing at an unprecedented pace. These changes substantially impact corporate real estate needs and practices. Any perspective of the future of corporate real estate must consider the implications of the accelerating change all around us.
The Key Note address will provide perspectives on the various dimensions of the impending changes and how they could impact CRE.
Closing General Session with Fredrik Haren | 20 June | 3:50 - 4:50
A RAPIDLY DEVELOPING WORLD
The world of real estate is changing, but even more importantly: our industry is connected to so many other industries going through massive change at the moment. That makes it more important than ever for real estate professionals to see, understand and know how to react to all these changes. In this inspirational, yet thought-provoking, speech Fredrik Haren will talk about why it is more difficult to embrace change than most of us will admit, and about what we can do to become better at changing.
