Discover the range of influencing styles available to you when engaging and persuading others. This session defines the different categories of influencing - ‘tell’, ‘ask’ and ‘inspire’ - styles that you can use with your stakeholders. A brief definition of each style, within these categories, is provided as well as ‘best practice’ guidelines (including ‘watch-outs’) to be considered when using the style. This is then followed by an interactive exercise where, along with others, you are invited to explore your most preferred and least preferred styles. The result is that you will understand how you might leverage the former and how you might develop the latter more to positively increase your impact on others.
