Ann Marie Aguilar joined the IWBI team in 2016, and from a base in London oversees the day-to-day activities of IWBI Europe/MENA regions. She supports the business development and technical teams and is the first point of contact for clients and design teams interested in all applications of WELL Certification. Ann Marie’s expertise in environmental sustainability and well-being has helped deliver strategic adoption of WELL into the UK, Ireland and continental Europe with support from BRE, Green Building Councils and other partners in the UK and abroad. She is also responsible for implementing new directives for research, growth, recruitment and education. She earned her bachelor's degree in architecture from the New York Institute of Technology and received Chartered Environmentalist status in 2012.

An environmental psychologist by training, Beatriz has spent the last 15 years researching topics such as national culture, neuroscience, and wellbeing at work, with the goal of designing meaningful and healthy workplace experiences. A Brazilian national and global citizen, she has enjoyed living in 9 countries.



Arkesteijn, Monique

Assistant Professor Real Estate Management, Delft University of Technology

Monique Arkesteijn studies alignment processes between corporate real estate and corporate strategy for over 25 years as a researcher and practitioner. Currently, she is finalising her PhD on CRE alignment with a specific interest in design and decision modelling. The Preference-based Accommodation Strategy (PAS) approach she tested and developed, is able to measure the added value of existing and new CRE portfolios. Monique served on the CoreNet Global board for the last four years and is an enthusiastic and empathetic assistant professor real estate management at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at the Delft University of Technology.

Matthias Grimm is the Head of Global Real Estate & Facilities (GRF) at SAP SE with authorized signatory. He also serves as Vice President where he has responsibility for close to 400 employees; overseeing a yearly operational budget of close to 700m Euro and investments exceeding 300m Euro every year.
His organization has global responsibility for the strategic, tactical and operational business related to Real Estate Management, Facility Management and Data Center Services.

Matthias joined SAP in 2002 and was leading the Facility and Real Estate Organization for SAP AG from 2003-2007. In 2007 the Global Real Estate and Facility Management Organization was established under his leadership.

Prior to joining SAP Matthias worked as engineer in several companies. Overall, he has more than 20 years professional experience in Real Estate and Facilities.

His Master Thesis was promoted in 1994 from the German Engineer Association with a price award.
In 2018 he was named “Corporate Real Estate Executive of the Year” from CoreNet Global.



Hersch, Rainer

Conductor and Stand-up Comic,

Rainer Hersch is unique - he is both an internationally recognized conductor and stand-up comic who has closed the show some of the world’s most famous comedy clubs including Carolines in New York and the Comedy Store in London

Rainer started his working life in concert agencies, managing some of the great artists of the world.  At the same time he developed a hobby - performing stand-up comedy on the London circuit.  Short, unpaid slots led to longer, paid appearances and gradually developed into a parallel career.  In time, Rainer realised that this was his true vocation and gave up his last straight musical job, Touring Manager of the London Festival Orchestra, to enter the world of professional comedy.

Twenty-four years later, this unique training has kept him in constant demand – combining laughter with music.  In addition, he has built up a considerable reputation as a broadcaster and presenter for the BBC and Classic FM.  He has also been consistently delighting corporate audiences with entertainments that are witty, interactive and fun.  These range from classical themed sets with his mini orchestra, corrupting well known works with hilarious effect, to pop singalongs based on classic rock hits.

 As keynote speaker Rainer Hersch uses his experience conducting some of the great orchestras of the world to provide fascinating insights into leadership, teamwork and motivation.

Tica is one of the Leaders of Tomorrow at Cushman & Wakefield, A Young Leader of Corenet and a volunteer in the Property Industry Foundation. She has published articles about workplace performance and the future of work, and spoken at industry forums.

In my current research, I am interested in the smart use of resources in (corporate) real estate management. In addition to materials, energy and natural resources, I see human resources and their social capital as essential. I am especially interested in featuring the concept of waste in the smart use of resources in CREM by streamlining the value creation through re-engineering, re-designing and re-structuring. As the founder of Leesman, Tim Oldman sought to offer the property market the first truly independent, unified and standardised pre and post occupancy evaluation tool. He started his career in 1991 as a designer in the gritty world of transport design and by 2003 moved away from the front line, having developed a greater interest in the business strategy of workplace.

In 2006, he joined Swiss furniture giant Vitra as Director of Workplace Strategy, commissioning several milestone research projects. In 2009 he was working as an independent advisor to several leading global organisations, advising leadership teams on the alignment of their workplace strategies. This led to the exploration and development of new models, tools and theories and ultimately to the founding of Leesman in 2010.
