Director of Operations, EMEA, International WELL Building Institute (IWBI)

Ann Marie Aguilar joined the IWBI team in 2016, and from a base in London oversees the day-to-day activities of IWBI Europe/MENA regions. She supports the business development and technical teams and is the first point of contact for clients and design teams interested in all applications of WELL Certification. Ann Marie’s expertise in environmental sustainability and well-being has helped deliver strategic adoption of WELL into the UK, Ireland and continental Europe with support from BRE, Green Building Councils and other partners in the UK and abroad. She is also responsible for implementing new directives for research, growth, recruitment and education. She earned her bachelor's degree in architecture from the New York Institute of Technology and received Chartered Environmentalist status in 2012.

James is Senior Real Estate Manager at PwC dealing with the UK's occupational strategy and transactions. Currently occupying 1.6m sq ft across 22 UK offices. The average age of PwC’s 23,000 UK staff, including Partners is 27. As such, the wants and opinions of the Millennial workforce is paramount to the strategy and design of the PwC workplace.



Amoroso, Claudio

Claudio Amoroso has many years of work experience in strategic and operational roles with management responsibility. He is currently responsible to analyse market trends and provide related intelligence to management to steer better decision. His team manages strategic initiatives and high impact projects for the division globally; especially in the area of digital solutions. Claudio is a Swiss-Italian dual national and holds a Master of Science in Atmospheric and Climate Sciences from ETH Zurich.



Arantes, Beatriz

Manager, WorkSpace Futures, Steelcase

Beatriz Arantes leads WorkSpace Futures research for Steelcase EMEA out of the Learning + Innovation Center in Munich, where she works with teams across the organization to integrate user-centered insights into product and service development. An environmental psychologist by training, Beatriz has spent the last 15 years researching topics such as national culture, neuroscience, and wellbeing at work, with the goal of designing meaningful and healthy workplace experiences. A Brazilian national and global citizen, she has enjoyed living in 9 countries.



Arkesteijn, Monique

Assistant Professor Real Estate Management, Delft University of Technology

Monique Arkesteijn studies alignment processes between corporate real estate and corporate strategy for over 25 years as a researcher and practitioner. Currently, she is finalising her PhD on CRE alignment with a specific interest in design and decision modelling. The Preference-based Accommodation Strategy (PAS) approach she tested and developed, is able to measure the added value of existing and new CRE portfolios. Monique served on the CoreNet Global board for the last four years and is an enthusiastic and empathetic assistant professor real estate management at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at the Delft University of Technology.

Dr. Banks is Director of the Interdisciplinary Center for Healthy Workplaces where she leads an interdisciplinary team of scholars and practitioners in innovative research projects and distribution of state of the art information regarding the development and implementation of healthy workplaces.  She is also a Senior Lecturer at the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley, where she has taught courses in management, organizational behavior and leadership to graduate and undergraduate students for 34 years.  She has 42 years of experience founding and leading two organizational consulting firms.  She is a nationally recognized expert in management practices and job design.

Annelou de Groot is currently working as a member of the Dutch management board at IWG. She has over 15 years of experience in the real estate industry. She graduated her Master in Finance by creating and writing a thesis on an ‘Office building valuation tool - based on user experience’. She then started her career at Deloitte Real Estate Consultants and amongst others she worked for 8 years as director of a National agency firm. Nowadays she is seen as an expert on flexible office space, frequently giving lectures on this theme. Her specific role at IWG is growing the network and as IWG’s client base consists out of 50% corporates, she knows how to match real estate with corporate demand.

Ruben den Uyl graduated in 2019 at the Delft University of Technology in the domain of Real Estate Management. With a background in Architecture, user centered design is the focus point of his workflow. These two perspectives came together in his graduation research, where Ruben researched the relationship between stress and the physical work environment with a smart ring, creating a new method for stress research. Nowadays, Ruben advises occupiers to accelerate their success through real estate at Colliers International, in both the strategic domain, as well as the physical environment.

Nathalie has almost a decade’s experience in the Corporate Real Estate sector. In her current role she is at the forefront of client interactions for the project management group. She has firsthand experience of corporate occupiers’ strategic priorities across EMEA and globally. Fatema, Nishar

A passionate global representative, architect, workplace design strategist, artist, and a volunteer - Nishar is part of the core-cell Space Matrix global team. She has work experience in five countries: Singapore, India, Germany, Iran and the US, and has traveled to more than 45. Her career is backed by an eight-year proven track record in workplace design and business strategy. Nishar manages global clients of North America for design and execution in APAC. Deep understanding of the workplace design & build is her key asset. She provides unique solutions for global clients challenged with setting offices in APAC, providing efficient delivery and honest communication with technical and business stakeholders alike.

Nishar is also an author of the research piece "Understanding of an ornamentation in Islamic architecture" and contributor to a book on vernacular housing of North India called "MATRA: The measure".

Gizzatov, Eldar

Gray, Whitney

Dr. Gray brings over a decade of expertise as a global leader in the intersection of health and built environment. At Delos, she leads the Delos Insights team focused on conducting research to support industry adoption of healthy building practices. She led the development of the first case studies focused on the WELL Building Standard, and helped to launch over 100 educational and training sessions related to WELL in over 30 countries, reaching over 15,000 professionals. She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Georgetown University. Dr. Gray received her PhD from The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

 



Grime, Tim

Tim Grime is a security architect working in Australia and internationally as a trusted adviser to major enterprises that want to deliver the best possible security outcome or identity management experience. He is the director of TMG Strategy, helping clients to utilise technology to improve their current business and be ready for the future.

Tim is a technology enthusiast in the areas of analytic technology, biometrics and smart integration. He is qualified as a Security Consultant and has delivered several major industrial projects through Canada, India and Africa region before returning to Australia to work. He has worked with corporations to view security as a business enabling group that is well integrated into their goals. Key areas of TMG security support include business intelligence (BI), metadata and proactive security technology.



Grimm, Matthias

Head of Global Real Estate & Facilities (GRF), SAP SE

Matthias Grimm is the Head of Global Real Estate & Facilities (GRF) at SAP SE with authorized signatory. He also serves as Vice President where he has responsibility for close to 400 employees; overseeing a yearly operational budget of close to 700m Euro and investments exceeding 300m Euro every year.
His organization has global responsibility for the strategic, tactical and operational business related to Real Estate Management, Facility Management and Data Center Services.

Matthias joined SAP in 2002 and was leading the Facility and Real Estate Organization for SAP AG from 2003-2007. In 2007 the Global Real Estate and Facility Management Organization was established under his leadership.

Prior to joining SAP Matthias worked as engineer in several companies. Overall, he has more than 20 years professional experience in Real Estate and Facilities.

His Master Thesis was promoted in 1994 from the German Engineer Association with a price award.
In 2018 he was named “Corporate Real Estate Executive of the Year” from CoreNet Global.



Halewood, Justin

Justin is a corporate real estate professional with a background in sustainability and specialism in flexible space. Previously at Standard Chartered Bank, he now has responsibility for real estate, strategy and delivery for Red hat’s office portfolio in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Andrew leads integrated service delivery for all occupier clients at Colliers International in EMEA specialising in corporate real estate services, portfolio strategy, transaction management, brokerage, lease administration, project management, workplace services, and facilities management outsourcing advisory.  He has extensive global corporate real estate experience advising large corporations on their global real estate organization and strategy over the last 18 years, having worked across EMEA, North America and Asia Pacific. Andrew also currently serves on the global board of directors of CoreNet Global.

 



Hersch, Rainer

Conductor and Stand-up Comic,

Rainer Hersch is unique - he is both an internationally recognized conductor and stand-up comic who has closed the show some of the world’s most famous comedy clubs including Carolines in New York and the Comedy Store in London

Rainer started his working life in concert agencies, managing some of the great artists of the world.  At the same time he developed a hobby - performing stand-up comedy on the London circuit.  Short, unpaid slots led to longer, paid appearances and gradually developed into a parallel career.  In time, Rainer realised that this was his true vocation and gave up his last straight musical job, Touring Manager of the London Festival Orchestra, to enter the world of professional comedy.

Twenty-four years later, this unique training has kept him in constant demand – combining laughter with music.  In addition, he has built up a considerable reputation as a broadcaster and presenter for the BBC and Classic FM.  He has also been consistently delighting corporate audiences with entertainments that are witty, interactive and fun.  These range from classical themed sets with his mini orchestra, corrupting well known works with hilarious effect, to pop singalongs based on classic rock hits.

 As keynote speaker Rainer Hersch uses his experience conducting some of the great orchestras of the world to provide fascinating insights into leadership, teamwork and motivation.

Human Geographer & Urban Planner, Strategic Consulting, Cushman & Wakefield

Tica is a Human Geographer & Urban Planner in the Strategic Consulting team at Cushman & Wakefield. She worked as a location analyst in Amsterdam before transferring to Sydney. Tica has advised corporate clients in finance, technology and government to develop real estate and workplace strategies across Australia.

Tica is one of the Leaders of Tomorrow at Cushman & Wakefield, A Young Leader of Corenet and a volunteer in the Property Industry Foundation. She has published articles about workplace performance and the future of work, and spoken at industry forums.

Being a millennial herself, and Dutch, Tica doesn’t mince words. Her passion and curiosity about the future is infectious. “If you want to be prepared for the new world of work, you have to imagine it first”.

In my current research, I am interested in the smart use of resources in (corporate) real estate management. In addition to materials, energy and natural resources, I see human resources and their social capital as essential. I am especially interested in featuring the concept of waste in the smart use of resources in CREM by streamlining the value creation through re-engineering, re-designing and re-structuring. My passion is to move the CREM industry towards near-zero waste.

Robin Weninger is the Managing Director of the management think-tank shapingwork and the Director of Education at the German Tech Entrepreneurship Center (GTEC). Robin works closely together with universities, thought leaders and management thinkers to develop state of the art management practices and frameworks.
