Each year CoreNet Global and CBRE conduct a study on established and emerging corporate real estate (CRE) practices. Over the last 12 months, we have seen a marked shift in the mission and evolving purpose of the CRE organization. In fact, supporting the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments of the enterprise has catapulted to the top of most CRE department's priorities. In the spirit of "Putting it all Together," CBRE's Chris Perri will lead a dynamic session to explore how CRE and CSR can work together to develop a road map that achieves both net zero goals and social impact.

Key Takeaways:

  • Connect the dots between corporate social responsibility and CRE-led ESG initiatives to improve outcomes as measured by ESG reporting frameworks, investor indices and ratings agencies.

  • Have examples of specific innovative initiatives to achieve net zero, with a focus on tackling the big challenge of indirect Scope 3 emissions from across the CRE value chain.

  • Create a business case for how ESG initiatives can drive long-term value for business lines and finance leaders, while also improving people's lives and the state of the environment.
