User centric metrics – the how and why of workplace preferences Thursday, 15 September 2022 from 2:15 PM – 3:15 PM

The focus is shifting from performance metrics to user centric metrics, and from space and desks to people. The power of workplace data lies in connecting trends about the space, the users of that space, and looking at it in the context of workspace quality. The University of Applied Sciences in Zurich and Locatee have developed a workplace analysis framework for creating workplaces that people love to work in, particularly in the hybrid era. New occupancy technology and benchmarking methodologies tailored for the dynamic changes we are experiencing, allow us to leverage the power of workplace data. The results are workplace measures based on space diversity, efficiency benchmarks, occupancy analytics as well as situational user feedback.

Key Takeaways:

  • Describe and apply a holistic methodology to measure quality and quantify the office by making use of data triangulation.

  • Measure the success of newly implemented hybrid workplace models with the presented framework.

  • Identify influencing factors of Workplace Experience in the hybrid workplace, uncover the links to the impact of benchmarking data and occupancy analytics and leverage them for CRE.
