Paul Barbeau

Paul Barbeau joined Dow in May, 2018 as Director, Real Estate Strategy and Facility Development, and moved into his current role in September, 2019. In this role, Paul leads all portfolio strategy, reinvestment planning, project management, and facility operations for Dow’s global office and laboratory assets. He is also the Site Leader for the Willard H. Dow Campus and East End, and serves on Dow’s Employee Experience (EX) Steering Team. Prior to joining Dow, Paul started his career as a minor league baseball executive with the Spokane Indians in 1995 and was named general manager in 1998. Under Paul's leadership, the Indians set all-time attendance records for the franchise for three straight seasons, and in 2000, he was named Northwest League Executive of the Year. Paul led the Michigan Baseball Foundation (MBF) and MBF Enterprises from its founding in 2006. MBF and MBF Enterprises own and operate Dow Diamond, the Great Lakes Loons, and ESPN 100.9FM. Under Paul’s leadership, the Loons franchise was built from the ground up. Nearly three million people attended Loons games over the franchise's first eleven seasons. In addition, Dow Diamond hosted over 1,700 other events, including concerts, trade shows, business meetings and private functions. Since inception, MBF has worked with corporate, philanthropic, and community partners to driver over $100 million of capital investment in downtown Midland. Paul has been a leader in the Great Lakes Bay Region serving on various boards and committees, including the Michigan Baseball Foundation Board of Directors, Greater Midland Community Centers Board of Directors; 1st State Bank Board of Directors; and Downtown Development Authority, City of Midland, Board of Directors. ULI works with members, community leaders, coalition partners, and other key stakeholders to build awareness around sustainability issues in the built environment, and to provide our members with the tools and resources they need to cost-effectively drive sustainability into their projects and operations. As the EVP for Centers and Initiatives, Mr. Grayson also oversees ULI’s Housing, Infrastructure, and Real Estate Economics and Capital Markets programs. Mr. Grayson’s previous experience includes leading sustainability and ESG efforts in real estate (Liberty Property Trust), the industrial supply chain (WESCO), and the electronics industry (the Electronics Industry Citizenship Coalition). He has a BA from Claremont McKenna College and a MBA from the Robert H Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, and is a LEED AP.
