With over 22 years of experience, Erwin Chong heads the Corporate Real Estate Strategy and Administration team in DBS Bank, managing over 6M sq ft of retail branches, electronic banking lobbies, and offices globally. His past experiences include leading regional CRE teams in Citibank, and he has a background of global expertise across all CRE key functions, spanning client occupier services and consultancy roles. He was the first from a Singapore company to serve on the Board of CoreNet Global between 2017 and 2020, the leading global association for the corporate real estate profession, after a term of appointment as the Chair of the Corenet Global Singapore Chapter in 2016. In DBS’ transformation journey to achieve Global Finance’s Best Bank in the World 2018 and The Banker’s Global Bank of the Year 2018, Erwin led his regional team to re-think the role of spaces and their impact on customers and employees. This resulted in unconventional designs for retail branches and a workplace transformation programme called Joyspace, which revolutionised close to 500,000 square feet of office spaces in Singapore, India, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Dubai, changing how employees work and behave in spaces. In addition, marking more firsts, Erwin pioneered the installation of 1,200 solar panels in DBS—the largest of its kind amongst any Singapore banks in 2017 and the retrofitting of DBS Newton Green in 2022—the first net zero building by a bank in Singapore. Together, these tie in with DBS’s commitment to RE100, a global renewable initiative in which DBS is the first Asian bank and Singapore company to get onboard. He believes that CRE should focus on employee experience that delivers the most value to any company. The father of two enjoys kicking back with some music, and his great galaxy of PS4 and PC games.

Previously, Mr. Dismond served as CBRE’s first global Chief Diversity Officer, leading the company’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) strategy. In February 2021, his scope of responsibilities expanded to include all ESG efforts including DE&I, Environmental Sustainability, Workplace Safety & Wellbeing, Philanthropy and Public/Government Affairs. Mr. Dismond was also the President of the South Division of CBRE’s Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) | Enterprise business. In this role, he oversaw more than 5,000 professionals who deliver real estate and facilities services to occupiers headquartered in nine U.S. states and Latin America and manage a global portfolio of more than 820 million square feet. Earlier in his career with CBRE, Mr. Dismond was Executive Managing Director for the Central Division within GWS, serving client accounts based in the Central U.S. and Canada. He also served as Executive Account Leader for a large financial services client, and Alliance Director for CBRE’s Sprint account, where his team received the Account Excellence award for three consecutive years. Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Dismond held several executive positions at Sprint, including Enterprise Operations where he reported directly to the Chairman and CEO of Sprint.
