Zooming in on Inclusivity & Business Success
No two perspectives, no two points of view are ever exactly the same. That’s what makes for a diverse, inclusive work experience — one with lots of different voices and perspectives — so powerful.
That’s what gives a company its superpowers. That’s what keynote speaker Jessica Pettitt, a stand-up comic and educator, will discuss during her far-from-typical Ted-style talk on diversity, taking it to the next level of social justice conversations examining privilege, oppression, entitlement, and our collective responsibility to make change while connecting difficult topics with employee retention, crisis management, and increasing innovation and profits. Having traveled and lived in a variety of communities and environments all over the world, Pettitt uses her take on life to lead participants through a safe but confrontational process of examination, self-reflection, and open dialog that is as challenging as it is rewarding.
Then, Peter Sheahan will bring his zoom lens into focus on business success and leadership. One of the top business speakers and authors globally, Sheahan will provoke the audience to think bigger and broader by getting better. Having grown his own companies by accelerating the growth and transformation for clients that include: Apple; Chick-fil-A; DeBeers; and AT&T – he helps leaders be true to their purpose by doing work that matters and solves higher-order problems. The journey to get there requires that they have the courage to tell themselves the truth, take intelligent risks, and assume ownership for driving the alignment necessary to build an organization that behaves in ways that enable it to zoom out to zoom in.
