The following outlines sustainability initiatives CBRE has put in place during the CoreNet Global North America Summit, related to our presence as a Sponsor and as an exhibitor.
Initiative #1: Green Space
CBRE partnered with an agency to design a booth made exclusively from sustainable materials, including custom elements made from FSC certified timber and finished using low VOC paints and PVC free graphics.
We have removed flooring from the booth and will instead clean and use the venue floor, avoiding single-use floor options.
92% of the booth is being reused from previous CBRE activations (e.g., banner frame, planters, reception desk)
We are minimizing shipping and transport impact, using local materials to reduce transportation emissions.
The footprint of the booth will be measured and offset using gold standard carbon credits after the event.
We are working with a local vendor to source food and beverage during our networking opportunities.
Initiative #2: People and Travel
We request that all CBRE team members bring a reusable water bottle to the CoreNet
Summit, to reduce single-use plastics.
For travel, carbon-efficient flight options and ride-sharing are encouraged.
CoreNet’s lodging option allows the CBRE team to walk to ancillary Summit events, including
our CBRE-hosted client reception.
We are partnering with a local vendor to install all elements of the expo booth, reducing the
need for additional travel and shipping impact.
Initiative #3: Less Waste and Digital Signage
CBRE is committed to reducing paper waste. To achieve this, digital displays will be installed,
replacing paper brochures. Digital signage also allows attendees a more seamless experience
to explore research, capabilities, and our solutions.
All event communications are managed digitally to avoid print and paper waste.
