Even with all the talk of empty office buildings in New York City and elsewhere, construction continues with a final steel beam placed on the massive Park Avenue headquarters currently under construction for JP Morgan Chase. 

"Designed by Lord Norman Foster of Foster + Partners with Adamsom Associates as the architect of record and developed by Tishman Speyer, the 60-story skyscraper will yield 2.5 million square feet of office space with a capacity of 15,000 employees, and will become the tallest structure in New York completely powered by hydroelectric energy,” according to NewYorkNimby.com. 

The building will be ready for occupancy in 2025, according to numerous press reports. 

David Arena, the bank's head of real estate, told NPR in May that" We think very hard about what the workplace is going to be like for thousands of people. And so our focus is always labor - how to make them happier, how to make them more productive.” The bank hopes the building will be a model for the post-pandemic workplace, NPR reported.
