U.S.-based Global Biotech Company Signs 15-Year Lease
Biogen, a multinational biotechnology company headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, announced that it signed a 15-year lease in the MIT-owned Kendall Commons' complex in the city's Kendall Square neighborhood. The move, expected to take place in 2028 ahead of the company's 50th anniversary, will consolidate "its various branches and operations into a single "innovation hub" while drawing the company still closer to nearby MIT," as reported by The Harvard Crimson.
MIT President Sally Kornbluth shared in a press statement, "It's fitting that Biogen — a company with such close ties to people at MIT — will make Kendall Common's first building its new home."
