South Korean Automaker Hyundai Announces a $21 Billion U.S. Investment
Hyundai recently announced a $21 billion U.S. investment plan that will create new jobs, open factories, improve vehicle technology, and boost vehicle production.
The plan includes a new Georgia-based car and battery factory, as well as a new steelmaking facility that is expected to create more than 1,400 jobs. According to the BBC, Hyundai "plans to invest $9 billion to boost the firm's production in the US to 1.2 million vehicles a year by 2028…and earmarked $6 billion to expand partnerships with US firms to develop technologies including self-driving vehicles, robotics and AI."
