Mar 12, 2025

China’s electric vehicle market just got some new competition thanks to Toyota’s new $20,0000 smart electric vehicle (EV), Bozhi 3X. The Japanese auto giant introduced the new EV to gain a larger global market share and to better compete in China against the country’s BYD Co. Ltd.

The Bozhi 3x includes self-driving capabilities. According to Reuters, the cost “starts at 139,800 yuan ($19,297.66). The less advanced version is priced at 104,800 yuan, making it Toyota's cheapest EV in China.”
