Apr 25, 2022

Elanco Animal Health’s $100 million new headquarters is moving 25 miles from Greenfield IN to downtown Indianapolis, but local authorities say it will make a big impact on farmers and local agricultural economy.

It will be built at  at the site of the former General Motors stamping plant not far from Lucas Oil Stadium and the Indianapolis Zoo near downtown Indianapolis, according to Hoosier Ag Today.

“Elanco produces medicines and vaccines for pets and livestock and one of the largest animal health companies in the world. Elanco says the new Indianapolis headquarters will bring their 10,000 global employees together to work in their new laboratories,” according to the article.

The project was made possible with incentives from the city and state.

“Gov. Eric Holcomb says that Elanco’s new offices will not only grow Indiana’s ag industry, but also Indiana’s economy…

‘Elanco was already on the global map, but this is going to put our state our capital city on the world map in terms of being the epicenter of animal health excellence and innovation,” says Gov. Holcomb.'”
