How and What Will Workers Return to When the Virus Subsides? CoreNet Global to Launch a Hackathon, a Virtual Ideation Experience to Assemble Corporate Real Estate Professionals

Apr 10, 2020 by David Harrison

9 APRIL, 2020 – ATLANTA, GA – CoreNet Global, the world’s premier association for corporate real estate professionals, is launching a hackathon, a virtual ideation experience in which corporate real estate leaders and other professionals around the world will present their vision of the post coronavirus (COVID-19) global landscape and the corporate real estate strategies that will lead companies to success.

A hackathon is a group of individuals convening to solve problems collectively and within a short, defined period of time.

COVID-19 Crisis Calls For Bold Leadership

Many corporate real estate professionals, together with their companies’ HR, IT and leadership teams, are already taking extraordinary steps to slow the spread of the disease, protect the health and safety of employees and customers, support workers and help companies survive the turbulence. But what will workers return to when the virus subsides? Certainly not old habits or business as usual.

The hackathon will challenge corporate real estate leaders across the globe to develop collective solutions that go beyond the immediate crisis response – and help ensure the long-term health and well being of citizens, companies, and communities.

Participants will choose the specific topic they will tackle:

Space Utilization & Metrics

  • Distributed Work
  • Workplace Wellbeing
  • The Autonomous Workplace
  • Environment and Climate Change
  • Manufacturing & Industrial

Registration for the hackathon opens April 13 and closes April 17. The CoreNet Global Hackathon will take place virtually over a period of two weeks from April 20 – May 3. For more information visit www.corenetglobal.org.
