CoreNet Global Presents Chris Kelly with the H. Gordon Wyllie, MCR Young Leader of the Year Award
ATLANTA (OCTOBER 17, 2018) Chris Kelly, Convene, has received the H. Gordon Wyllie, MCR, Young Leader of the Year Award from CoreNet Global, the premier global association for corporate real estate executives. The award was presented during the association’s North American Global Summit being held this week in Boston, MA.
Kelly, a member of the New York City chapter, co-founded Convene in 2009, and he has been a pioneer in the future of work since then – long before it took off in the mainstream media. Under Chris’s leadership, Convene was named to Inc. magazine’s “Best Workplaces” list in 2018, and to Fortune magazine’s “Best Workplaces in New York” in 2017.
Kelly has been an active member in the New York City chapter’s Young Leaders Committee, helping drive new member growth and establishing an outreach initiative with NYU’s Masters in Real Estate program. He was named the New York City Chapter’s Service Provider of the Year in 2017.
The award is named for H. Gordon Wyllie, MCR, one of the founders of a CoreNet Global predecessor organization. CoreNet Global also announced the finalists for the award:
Michael “Mike” Brucato, MCR
Senior Director, Northeast Division, Advisory & Transaction Services
CBRE
New England Chapter
Brucato’s keen instinct for process improvement goes beyond conducting simple gap analysis and benchmarking. He recognizes inefficiencies and barriers to communication that prevent clients from realizing the benefits of an integrated service platform.
He was promoted to Director of CBRE’s Advisory & Transaction business in 2017, and a short six months later was promoted to Senior Director. In this role, he has direct accountability for 25 percent of CBRE’s transaction revenue in the Americas.
He recently graduated from the New England chapter’s Young Leader Development Program, and completed the Harvard Manager Mentor Program.
Michelle Lagos, MCR
Director, Client Solutions
Global Workplace Solutions
CBRE
Northern California Chapter
In her role, Lagos strategically connects CBRE’s resources to develop innovative solutions to complex, multi-hundred-million-dollar outsourcing initiatives. She leads virtual global teams of 40-50 colleagues per pursuit, while working on multiple pursuits simultaneously. Michelle’s teams set sales records in 2017, and are on pace for another record year.
She has been actively engaged in the Northern California Young Leaders since she joined the Young Leaders Committee in 2008, and she has made a tremendous impact on the Young Leaders’ overall growth. In 2009, she co-founded the local mentorship program that is still in place today.
Michelle earned her MCR in 2018, and recently completed CBRE’s Rising Leaders program.
