CORENET GLOBAL MARKS 20 YEARS

ATLANTA, GA – 25 APRIL 2022 – CoreNet Global, the association for corporate real estate professionals, celebrates 20 years of serving the corporate real estate profession.

In the years since CoreNet Global was formed through a merger of IDRC and NACORE, the visibility, value and significance of corporate real estate has grown. CoreNet Global now has nearly 10,000 members in all regions of the world. CoreNet Global members share a strategic responsibility for the real estate assets of large corporations.

“Over the last two decades, CoreNet Global has served its members and the corporate real estate community by accurately predicting trends including remote and technology-enabled work, the use of virtual and augmented reality, smart cities and many others,” said Angela Cain, CEO of CoreNet Global. “The work of corporate real estate professionals has become more visible and prominent, especially over the past two years, as corporate leaders recognize the impact that corporate real estate has on how and where people work and live.”

That impact is the reason that compensation for corporate real estate professionals continues to rise.

A vast majority of corporate real estate professionals received pay increases in 2021, according to a new survey released by CoreNet Global and Ferguson Partners.

Seventy-nine percent (79%) of participants received an increase in their base salary between 2020 and 2021. Additionally, 73% of participants expect to receive an increase between 2021 and 2022.

“We’re proud to be celebrating our 20-year anniversary after this year’s Corporate Real Estate Week, which we launched last year and look forward to celebrating every year,” Cain said.
