Entropy – the extra energy required to overcome disorder. Entropy exists to some degree in almost every system, including inside our organizations. Cultural entropy is, quite simply put, the dysfunctional energy within an organization and it requires an extra boost of energy to overcome this dysfunction to meet performance expectations set by leadership. Cultural entropy is a result of fear-driven energy and can take many forms.
