Exploring Radical Ecologies of Land Economics

Exploring Radical Ecologies of Land Economics

October 2018

The challenges of business resilience and optimization in the face of climate change, urbanization, and natural disasters are becoming more widespread, however, we can re-imagine and re-think how we create solutions to address these problems through inspiration and data from biological systems. Robin Bass, Team Lead of Google's Real Estate and Workplace Service Group will lead a discussion with practice leaders from HOK, Interface Carpets and Biomimicry 3.8 to share examples of how their companies have applied biological and ecological intelligence to solve some of the most vexing challenges facing the built environment. Robin will engage the panel and audience in this interactive roundtable session; providing project examples with measured results that have used design strategies from nature to drive positive impact and resilient solutions that go beyond the buildings to benefit employees and the communities in which they live.
