Global Oil and Gas Cities

Global Oil and Gas Cities

April 2015

The global oil and gas industry appears to be at an inflection point. Oil consumption in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries is decreasing, but demand from emerging markets is driving an overall increase in global demand. This consumption shift is also occurring at a time when new sources of supply proliferate. The shale gas revolution in North America and an upsurge in output from the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and other major producers has resulted in a global glut of supply with an obvious impact on price.
