Lights, Sensors, Action! - A Building intelligence Case Study on The Forum

March 2015

In order to deliver in its “Here for good” brand promise, Standard Chartered Bank had ambitious energy and space optimization goals for the opening of The Forum at Exchange Square in Hong Kong. Seeking to deploy state of the art technology for the 48,000 sqft of prestigious office space in the five story building, the bank deployed a high-density network of sensors using a disruptive approach to power and control LED lights while collecting data on heat, light and motion. The key objectives of the deployment included driving significant savings on lighting energy consumption, using the occupancy data to make other systems in the building smarter, and gathering information about when, where and how the spaces is being used, helping optimize the bank’s footprint.
