Project Neutrino: A New Approach to Value-based Partnership Sourcing

Barry Varcoe, Global Head of CRE & FM for Zurich Insurance Company, started his presentation on Zurich Insurance Company’s ground-breaking outsourcing model called “Project Neutrino” by telling the delegates about why the project was given that particular name. When the project was first conceptualized, physicists were in the process of proving the existence of a particle named “Neutrino,” which would have stood science as we know it on its head. The idea was that in a similar fashion, Zurich’s new project would revolutionize the current process of sourcing and working with external partners.
