The most recent Gallup State of the Global Workplace Report found that the highest levels of active disengagement in the workplace is in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region - particularly Saudi Arabia, where only 9% of the workforce is engaged. Data from a recent Steelcase commissioned study conducted by the global research firm IPSOS of 10,500 workers in 14 countries throughout the world provides a wake-up call for any leaders who think work environments are not a high priority—employees who are highly satisfied with the places they work in are also the most highly engaged. The survey has now been extended to the UAE and Saudi Arabia the results of which will be shared at the session. Catherine Gall is Director of Design & Real Estate Alliances EMEA, Steelcase and was formerly leader of the Steelcase WorkSpace Futures research in Europe for more than 15 years. Details
