ConAgra Foods is one of North America's largest packaged food companies with branded and private branded food found in 99 percent of US households. ConAgra has long been an organization that recognizes the success of a business is defined by a commitment to sustainability, community and customers. Protecting and restoring the environment, helping end child hunger and making food that's delicious, safe and nutritious is inherent to ConAgra's business. This session will highlight how their real estate team was challenged to find significant savings to shore up the bottom line. To drive conservation and savings they deployed a robust real-time energy monitoring and management program at ConAgra's Global Trading Facility. With this program, building personnel gain near instantaneous feedback into usage at the facility, allowing for on the fly changes to be made to system operating schedules and set points, ensuring both employee comfort and optimum utility usage. Since implementation, average monthly electricity usage has decreased roughly 10 percent, resulting in more than $45,000 in savings. Speakers: Richard Colegrove; Chuck Palm
