This session will provide an in-depth look at the five dominant Commercial Building Sustainability Rating Systems globally: LEED®, BREEAM, Green Star, Green Mark, BEAM Plus as well as energy-specific systems ENERGY STAR and NABERS. The presentation will focus on a decision-making framework that identifies the most strategic sustainability certification target base on a project location. Market factors, influence of local government policies and permitting requirements will be discussed within a global context, supported by anecdotes collected from ten countries.
