ATLANTA- November 25, 2002 - CoreNet Global, the leading professional association for corporate real estate leaders, announced the winners of its Global Innovator's Award at the San Diego Global Summit held last week. The Global Innovator's Award is an honor bestowed on companies representing the best of innovation in corporate real estate.

One of CoreNet Global's core focuses has been to promote industry learning and knowledge sharing among its 7,000 members. The Global Innovator's Award, begun by predecessor organization, IDRC, has exemplified that goal and resulted in powerful, shared learning that demonstrates the best of what CoreNet Global can offer its members.

"During the three years since this award was introduced, the interest, participation and value has grown exponentially, resulting in top-caliber submissions and impressive innovations that introduce some of the best practices in the industry to our members," said Tim Venable, CoreNet Global Innovator's Award Coordinator and Editor, Corporate Real Estate Leader. "This year's winners show unprecedented innovation and it is a pleasure for me to honor them with the Global Innovator's Award."

Of 53 entries, 12 finalists were selected to present their innovations before a panel of senior corporate real estate professionals and leading educators at Harvard University this past summer. And from the finalists, four winners were chosen. This year's CoreNet Global Innovator's Award winners are:

CIGNA - "E*Work" - an innovative way to drive cultural change in creating a synergistic workplace, boosting performance while driving down costs and turnover.

Grubb & Ellis - "EPP Web" - an innovative use of the Internet to create and update property or portfolio-specific emergency preparedness plans

Miller Hughes Associates - "Sustainable, Socially Responsible Real Estate Disposal" - an innovative approach to surplus property disposal, combining environmental sensitivity and corporate social responsibility, while retaining shareholder value.

Sun Microsystems - "iWork" - an innovative means of providing employees with flexible work infrastructure and resources, available to anyone, anywhere, anytime.
