CoreNet Global's first-ever issues position statements advocate the Quality of Working Environments and Energy Management as socially responsible practices.
What is the purpose of CoreNet Global Advocacy Focus Group?
CoreNet Global formed its first-ever Issues Advocacy program in 2012. The CoreNet Global Issues Advocacy Focus group is a member-driven channel to identify and assess various public policy issues and corporate practices impacting the Corporate Real Estate (CRE) industry. The Focus Group is an ad-hoc member panel that scans, identifies, seeks input and articulates positions around issues and practices that CRE executives can influence within and beyond their corporate enterprises. It is not a lobbying program.

Industry Leaders Opinion Poll
Corporate real estate executives rated the most urgent issues facing our industry, companies and society in 2012 through our Industry Leaders Opinion Poll. The list starts with the quality of working environments and work experiences, and extends to energy management and conservation, existing building retrofits and dispositions, reliable performance metrics to inform the Triple Bottom Line, green location incentives, lease accounting standards, sovereign debt and fiscal instability, global infrastructure upgrades, property taxation, corporate income tax rates, and global regional location incentives.
