CALL FOR AWARDS NOMINATIONS

The 2008 Chapter Awards

Held during the Orlando Summit, November 9th – 11th

The purpose of the chapter awards system is to give all chapters an opportunity to be recognized for their outstanding efforts to advance the mission and further the goals and objectives of the CoreNet Global organization at the chapter level.  The process is meant to promote a chapter’s awareness of its own progress and define opportunities for growth.  These prestigious awards also help us identify innovative practices that can be applied to other chapters as well.

Links to all supporting documents are available below and online within the Chapter Resource Center. These documents help to clarify the purpose and describe the various categories contained within the awards, while outlining necessary steps for chapters to take when submitting their successful programs and achievements.

Entries will be received in all three of the following categories:

  • Chapter Development:  This category asks what your chapter has achieved during the reporting year in each of the following areas.  The areas of improvement include: Leadership & Governance, Chapter Planning, Financial Management, Communications, Community Reinvestment Challenge (CRC), Programs & Events, and Alliances & Partnerships, and Outreach.

Four awards will be given in this category, each based on chapter size of Small, Medium, Large and Mega, leveling the playing field for chapters of all sizes.

  • Chapter Achievement:  This category recognizes a noteworthy strategy, effort or Best Practice employed by your chapter that promotes or increases awareness of CoreNet Global.

We will be hosting conference calls on July 29th and September 9th at both Western Europe and Pacific Coast times to answer any questions you may have.  Call in times and numbers to follow.

All entries will be forwarded to the Member and Chapter Services Committee for review.  The committee, with appointed delegates, will forward their recommended choice to the CoreNet Global Board “Champion” Trex Morris for final selection. Decisions will be based on consistency with the CoreNet Global mission statement, furthering the goals and objectives of the organization, and qualitative and quantitative measures of results.

On behalf of The Member and Chapter Services Committee, we would like to thank each Chapter for your continued guidance and leadership within the CoreNet Global association.

Don’t miss the deadline of September 22, 2008 to send in your submissions.    Get ready to cheer your team on at the Orlando Summit and learn success secrets of neighboring chapters.

Best Regards,
