The Long Island Chapter is committed to providing its members and non-members a forum for quality learning and great networking.  We meet on the third Thursday of each month for breakfast (8:00AM to 9:30AM) at the Milleridge Inn in Jericho, NY, except for holiday weeks.  We "take off" from July through September, but hold an annual charitable fund raising Golf & Tennis Outing on the third Monday of July.  This past July was our Chapter's 12th anniversary of our Annual Golf & Tennis Outing benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New York and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island.

It is our goal to maximize attendance at our monthly meetings by focusing on agendas that promote Corporate Real Estate on Long Island, key projects and initiatives, as well as educational workshops for our members.   It is the hard work, dedication and innovation of our Board and Committee Members that enable our Chapter to be successful. 

Some of our programs this year will highlight a variety of topics including Real Estate Economic Forecast, the Results of the Election and its Impact on Business and the Real Estate Outlook on Long Island, Capital Markets Forecast, a CoreNet Learning Workshop, and a Law Firm Round Table.

To date, our programs have featured speakers such as the Nassau County Executive Thomas Suozzi, Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy and regional programs promoting the Nassau County HUB Project, Pilgrim State Psychiatric re-development in the Town of Islip,  as well as programs to promote Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), and New York State Empire Zones Programs to name a few.  Our annual January meeting features an Economic Forecast for Long Island’s real estate presented by the Long Island Association’s Chief Economist, Dr. Pearl Kamer.  An annual Real Estate Panel is held in the March/April timeframe where we have Industry Leaders discuss the outlook of the Commercial, Industrial, and Retail Real Estate Markets.

Our December “Holiday” meeting ,which benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island's "Toy Drive," is designed for networking and presenting holiday cheer!  It's a great way to "wrap" up the year.
