The September surprises keep coming. Whether its politics, the economy, energy or Wall Street, change and uncertainty is everywhere. Clearly, it is more important than ever to stay flexible and to network with those that can assist you to manage change. Ok, you know where I am going with this don't you?
CoreNet Global's Chicago Chapter is offering a host of opportunities every month to help you accomplish all of the above. During the last few weeks, we have explored the energy cost impact on
industrial transportation; a second
session is forthcoming on the impact of
energy prices on employee commutes
and new work patterns. Also, we offered
a half day learning session to a group of
20 CRE's on international real estate.
Additionally, our last luncheon focused
on the new initiatives at United Airlines,
Sara Lee and Edelman Public Relations.
We are working closely with CoreNet
Global to bring Executive Development
Programs (EDP) programs to Chicago in
the near future. These are part of the
Master in Corporate Real Estate (MCR)
and the Senior Leader in Corporate Real
Estate (SLCR) elective curriculum. In the
next year, we will also be hosting three
Discovery Forum days, a three-day
Capstone course and a week-long
opportunity to take two courses right
here in Chicago.
We have kicked off the annual chapter
sponsorship campaign and hope that
you'll take advantage of the benefits of
sponsorship this coming year. Visit the
Chapter Web Site for more information.
Well, off to the first tee at our annual
CoreNet Classic golf event...
