We live in an age of disruptive innovation. Established industries and incumbent corporations across the world have seen agile, technology-enabled start-ups revolutionise their markets. How can today's industry leaders fight to stay ahead against small, fast and smart competitors? Disruptive innovation is firmly on the C-Suite agenda yet innovation does not come naturally to most companies. As start-ups increasingly display the fastest pace of innovation, corporates are looking to capture that potential by creating incubator programmes and innovation spaces. These leverage the resources of the organisation and the agility, technology and creativity of start-ups to future proof the business strategy. One such company is Unilever. The company has products in 190 countries, 400 brands and a 185 year history of innovation. To continue this, the Unilever Foundry platform was created for start-ups and innovators to engage, collaborate and explore business ideas with Unilever. In February 2017, Unilever launched LEVEL3 - a co-working space occupying 22,000 sqft on Level 3 of their regional HQ in Singapore that pushes the boundaries of collaboration and corporate innovation. Redefining the traditional concept of workspaces, LEVEL3 brings together Unilever, start-ups and entrepreneurs to encourage innovation and create new partnerships that deliver real and meaningful business impact.
