We live in an age of disruptive innovation. Established industries have been revolutioinised by technology driven start-ups. A growing number of major corporations are harnessing the potential of start-ups by creating corporate incubator programmes and innovation spaces. Incubators support start-ups at an early stage by giving them access to expertise, mentoring, physical workspace and sometimes investment. This session will delve into a case study of a corporate incubator programme with representatives from both the host incubator, and an 'incubatee' start-up company. The conversation will focus on what is driving the movement and the motivations for a corporate to set up their own incubator programme. The panel will discuss their motivations, successes, and lessons learned.
