Digital technologies are changing how, when and where work is performed. Remote working, activity-based working, e-working, smart working, flexible work - may save corporate resources and employee time, while possibly improving work-life balance. However, whether or not the shift towards working 'anytime / anywhere' leads to higher performance, workplace satisfaction, motivation or wellbeing, is still under debate. This session will give a whistle-stop overview of the latest innovative digital technologies to understand and measure workplace performance. Cognitive game apps used in UCL doctoral workspace research sponsored by CoreNet Global UK, Cushman & Wakefield, RBS and British Land may also be demonstrated.
