Technology Tools: Finding the Right System for Corporate Real Estate

The Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) of 2002 has had a dramatic and initially unexpected, impact on corporate real estate (CRE) departments. On Feb. 7, 2005, the SEC issued guidance on lease accounting rules that changed the landscape of corporate real estate forever. As a result, public corporations in every industry were forced overnight to produce new financial reports to compy with new regulations.
