Breakout Session 7: From the Mine to the Market: Incorporating Technology and Sustainability

March 2012

Any relocation and consolidation services are dependent upon a unique team culture and efficient project management that aligns with business goals. In 2009, BHP Billiton created a balanced solution that supported and adapted to users while maintaining standardization and avoiding monotony. Their goal was the consolidation of their 230,000 sqft Regional HQ from 3 buildings into the top 10 floors of MBFC Tower 2 in Singapore. They successfully created a working environment that equally accommodated both permanent and global roaming staff. The final solution achieved a new level of simplicity, standardization and consistency that extends beyond location and user needs.
