This report discusses a benchmarking on Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center (AFC) in Atlanta, GA were benchmarked as these are fully developed and readily applicable to GSA buildings. Obviously, this will involve collaboration with local GSA staff. The procedural aspects of that will be prepared in a follow study. In this report, the two available performance indicators are benchmarked on an existing building. As a target of the benchmarking, Sam Nunn AFC was chosen because it is a typical of office buildings and is close to the Georgia Tech campus. Additionally, a study on the improvement of its energy performance was being conducted by another Georgia Tech research team using a building diagnostics approach with very detailed simulations. It is the intention to compare the results of both studies and discuss the differences in approach.
