Bassam is a Libyan citizen and has a deep understanding of the developing situation in Libya today. Paul Mercer is a Partner at Whispering Bell and a former Royal Naval Aviation Officer. Paul holds a Masters Degree in International Politics from Glasgow University and since leaving the military has been employed by the United Nations and British Government before moving into Security Risk Consulting. Paul has worked for International SOS and Olive Group and was formerly the Associate Director Crisis and Security Consulting for Control Risks Middle East. Guillermo Gaspoz is the Regional Information Manager at Whispering Bell and holds a Masters Degree in Political Sciences. He has several years of experience in Middle East government research and consulting, with particular emphasis on political stability, national and regional security and defense. He has extensive knowledge, analytical and executive reporting experience on Afghanistan, Pakistan and the broader regional areas affected by extremism and insurgencies.
