Corporate Governance Outlook survey

Corporate Governance Outlook survey

July 2012

In the wake of the 2008 financial industry collapse, Board leadership has emerged as most important topic today in corporate governance according to the findings of the annual Corporate Governance Outlook survey, issued by Ferguson Partners Ltd., a global executive recruitment consultancy. Most significantly, the survey reveals that 53% of directors believe that companies should elect an independent lead director and empower them into leadership roles to address important priorities such as strategy, risk management, and succession, -- a sharp contrast from 2010, when only 35% of respondents shared this view.
