Battery City Park is a 92-acre neighborhood in New York City's Lower Manhattan that is now being transformed , through the creation of 5 million square feet of sustainable residential and commercial buildings, into one of the most sustainable, healthy and efficient communities in one of the densest cities in the world. This is being done under the auspices of the Battery Park City Authority (BPCA), a public benefit corporation established in 1968.
