During the 1990s, corporate executives felt intense competitive pressures. To meet them, their organizations had to become leaner, more efficientin their use of resources, and more agile in their responses to customer demand. Those same pressures filtered down to corporate real estate (CRE) managers, who responded with improved delivery of real estate services, greater cost effectiveness, and a greater alignment of corporate real estate with business strategies.
