Looking for stats for women in CRE such as % women of total professionals, % Executive (Dir of higher).

AnnaJohnson.jpg--Anna Johnson, Knowledge Center Librarian (@CNGLibrarian)

What I'm finding is about 36% of CRE positions are held by women as of 2006 (as opposed to 51% in business in general). This is for the US. From CREW (commercial, not corporate): 9% of females reported holding a C-Suite position as opposed to 22% of males, from a 2011 survey.

We have some information on brownfield sites that may help you, though we don’t have benchmarking data per se:

I'm looking for articles or case studies that show how law firms are looking at their real estate today and what they're basing their decisions on.

How do companies apply sustainability research in terms of smart-building practices, carbon-reduction, etc.?

Energy-Smart Buildings: Demonstrating how information technology can cut energy use and costs of real estate portfolios
And here is a write-up in the Leader on that white paper.

Here’s another Leader article, on IAG's Green House in NZ.

Here is a recent Award Submittal by HP on itsCO2 reduction strategy (scroll through the first couple of pages of text for the goods).

And another Award Submittal by Steelcase on the same idea (again, scroll through for a pretty good white paper).

Finally, this is a little different, it’s a Singapore Summit presentation with results from a sustainability survey of big corporations, basically on how mature their organizational sustainability plans are.

Corporate real estate directly relates to companies whose primary business is not real estate but who need real estate to compete, make a profit and add shareholder value.

CoreNet Global is unique in that we are the only professional association that serves this niche, otherwise known as corporate occupiers or corporate end users. Examples include Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Whirlpool, Ford, Bank of America and many others, mostly comprising the Fortune 1000 and the Forbes Global 2000. These non-real estate companies form the demand side of the corporate real estate industry.

Commercial real estate interests such as brokers, owners, investors, landlords, developers and architects provide land, facilities, physical space and other goods or services to corporate end users. Economic developers provide the same corporate clients with location, relocation, expansion and other related needs. These real estate and location companies and organizations form the supply side of the corporate real estate industry.

By combining these three key segments – corporate occupiers, commercial real estate providers and economic developers – CoreNet Global is the only group that convenes the entire supply chain of the corporate real estate industry.

Connecting and providing value to you and your company in the entire network and supply chain of the corporate real estate industry – from end users and occupiers to service providers and economic developers. Professionals from across the corporate real estate industry gather from a variety of functional disciplines, locations, career stages, and companies.  Membership types include End Users, Service providers, Economic Developers, as well as Academic, Journalist, Student, and Retired professionals.
